What Hudson knows and what stays with you
Plain language. No legal traps. No selling your data. No advertising.
What Hudson collects
Almost nothing. Hudson does not have an account system. There is no sign-up. We do not collect names, emails, locations, or identifiers. Your conversations are sent to the AI service that powers Hudson’s replies for the moment they are answered, and are not retained on Hudson’s servers.
What stays on your device
Your name and answers from onboarding. Your daily mood check-ins. Your journal entries. Your safety plan. Any trusted contact info you save. Your sound preferences, intentions, CBT thought records. All of this lives in your browser’s local storage on this device only. We cannot read it.
What is never shared
Your conversations with Hudson. Your journal. Your safety plan. Your release-space writing. None of this is sent to anyone, ever. Not us, not advertisers, not other apps.
How trusted-contact alerts work
If you set up a trusted contact, Hudson will only message that person if you explicitly ask, or if you turn on pattern alerts and a pattern occurs. The message Hudson sends contains no transcripts and no details. Just a brief note that you may need their love right now. Every Hudson SMS includes an opt-out instruction (“Reply STOP to opt out”) so the recipient can step away anytime.
Your contact must verify before any non-asked message is sent. You can remove the contact or turn off any alert at any time from inside the app.
How to delete your data
Clear your browser data, or remove Hudson from your home screen. Because everything is on your device, deleting it on the device deletes it everywhere.
